The way I personally see it, spirituality doesn't have to mean Christianity or even any organized religion. I like to go for hikes and quiet my mind, unplug from the matrix a bit. Sometimes I'll practice boxing or martial arts. I consider that stuff to be in "spiritual" territory, at least for the purposes we're talking about.
That said, going to church or joining some other spiritual group is a great way to combine spirituality with community involvement.
Yeah I didn't miss church until I wasn't allowed to go anymore.
Haven't considered the link between exercise and spirituality, I will give it a shot.
If you're lucky enough to live near some nature, I strongly recommend hiking and/or camping. You don't have to go full on Northface hipster fag or anything, just get out and away from the city and from people for a few hours once in a while. Does a lot for the pysche.
