I dropped sugary drinks years ago, water tastes good now. Fruit juice and simple sugars in general are nasty.
For me it's a horrible cycle because I smoke a cigarette and that makes me want a coke, then I drink a coke and that makes me want a cigarette. I haven't been able to stand the taste of water ever since I moved away from Knoxville about 16 years ago. Water anywhere but my hometown tastes way off to me. Especially water in Kentucky. That shit is super nasty. Filtered water is admittedly a lot more tolerable though and I should drink it more often. I try to have a glass at least once a week but I know that's way too little. Baby steps.
Maybe you can try 'downgrading' your crux. Ex: instead of drinking a coke and having a smoke, drink a coffee and eat a cookie.
Replace your original habbit with this slightly less toxic addictive cycle. And then you may find skipping a day of drinking coffee / eating cookies easier than the former combo.
