You are right in part, but only in part. When the Shah was put in power by the CIA via coup, Iran was a modern nation. As far as the why, that is up in the air, and I'm still trying to puzzle that piece. I'm not even referring to muslim extremism. I live in a nation that is slowly being taken over by muslim immigrants. I've seen the changes over 30 years. I've seen how our country is being slowly modified to adhere to a belief set that is incompatible with the native culture. I've seen it happen in our neighboring nations. I have had more than my share of interactions with the followers of the so called religion of peace. I just don't want them here anymore. Their welcome has been worn out, and I am far from alone in feeling this way. That being said, I have no problem with them returning to their nations. I don't want to bomb Iraq or Afghanistan. I did my share of anti war protesting, more than my share even. I don't want them dead any more than anyone else. I just don't want them here fucking up my world. Regarding your name, I agree with Gaddafi on many things. I read his little green book. I know about the African Union he was working to establish. I know about the Gold Dinar that was the reason for his being killed. I know about the irrigation network he paid for and had constructed, and I know how it was destroyed by the US using depleted Uranium. As far as I'm concerned, that was a crime against humanity. But I don't want to be fucked with in my nation by browns. I don't want my son to be fucked with in my nation by browns. What is happening is no better than colonization of Africa and the Middle East nations by the French and British. In fact, it is worse, as when we went there, we improved the quality of life.
