No. Because assuming things is sometimes the best and only option.

However this is on a website where I have an account. I know there are going to be options to do various things. In this situation I know that the snow is not going to be permanent. That would make zero sense. This isn't an arctic or winter-specific based forum. It's Christmas, that's obviously seasonal. I've seen the exact same thing on many websites. So the first thing I do before bitching about it is I check my user options to see if I can turn it off. VOILA! I could. If I couldn't I would just figure out which element or script I needed to block to remove the snow. There would never be a point in time where I would bitch about something so retarded.
