Mask have no filtration system and being that you can still breath air (barely) with them on means that viruses will not have any issue getting inside your nose and/or mouth. Viruses are increadibly tiny particles, you can not even see them with a microscope, those bastards easily penetrate through a mask.
This is why at the beginning of this fake pandemic, mask was not pushed heavily at all, in fact, scum like Fauci admitted that mask were not effective at stopping transmission of a virus. But when they saw that the retarded masses started to wear mask and that the trend of mask wearing was starting to catch on with people willingly wearing that shit on their face, that is when they realised they could start to heavily push mask on people. Now you have Fauci and many others claiming the opposite of what they said about masks back in mars.
Mask wearing reinforces the belief that there is a "pandemic" going on, keeping people in a perpetual state of fear. A mask also removes the personal identity of people, removes any personal uniqueness by making everyone become faceless individuals. They hide joyful expressions such as smiles and laughter. All of this on top of mask wearing being hazardous to ones health. They just want people to view other people not as humans but as a potential threat, a potential walking viral infection, it is increadibly dehumanizing.

I also think the initial directive to not wear masks was intentional, to set the table for mask wearing becoming pervasive and permanent. By initially saying don’t wear them, then “changing their mind,” they’ve made it implied that they’re not going to change their mind again, and that they’re just following “the science.”
