Not at all. You are free to be a dick or not be a dick. My objective was to point out that you don't have to be a dick. The general feel of people on voat and now here is that free speech is and always will be a protected right and I agree. That doesn't mean you have to be as coarse as you can when you say something. Yes you have the right but no civility. That, by definition, is a dick. Imagine a would where free speech is used by everyone the way you are using it. Sure it would be amusing at first when you get your order via a drive thru and the cashier says "Here is you change, faggot". Imagine a world where everyone does this all the time... well, after a few weeks it will get old. What good are our rights if the society we live in is like that? Our rights are in print to protect our way of life among other reasons. Our way of life was MUCH better a few decades ago. I'd like to get back to it. Everyone was polite and caring. Communities worked together because the people loved each other. When trouble came, the men stepped up and took care of it. No one was disrespectful unless they were looking for a fight. If you truly want to get your point across to someone then talking down to them, disrespecting them and being a dick in general is the most stupid thing you can do and you have the right to be as stupid as you want and as many times as you want but you are not helping anyone. On the other hand you hurt this community if the idea of this community is to get people to see and agree with free speech. I can't imagine a random person clicking on a poal link and interacting with you and the outcome being good. They will and always have gone to another site and said voat is a disgusting place with vile people. Now you are on poal doing the same.
