Statistical shennanigans.
Your chance of having died of covid so far in my state is 1 in 500, regardless of whether or not you have contracted it.
Chances of dying if you get it are much higher.
Chances of dying if you are over 60 or 65 are unacceptably high if you contract this disease, 5 to 20%.
That is because they are not giving people THE FUCKING CURE
There’s a cure. Almost everyone can be saved if they get antivirals early in the disease. The government is preventing that.
Why don’t you try arguing for proven medications to be made available to covid patients instead of trying to brainwash yourself and other people with statistical fuckery? This is a real problem. People do not deserve to die needlessly just because they are old.
regardless of whether or not you have contracted it.
And you're saying shenanigans
Chances of dying if you are over 60 or 65 are unacceptably high if you contract this disease, 5 to 20%.
CDC says different, but you know, trust their numbers only when it suits you.
My statistic is not shenanigans because I stated precisely what proabability I was giving you.
You did no such thing.
One could mistakenly infer from your statistic that it was your probability of dying of covid if you contracted it. Which it isn’t since I was able to cite an area with a high covid rate which has a much higher covid mortality rate. It was a disingenous statistic.
What is the CDC number that you referenced? Does it include people diagnosed with covid or just people with a positive pcr test and no symptoms?
Some people are calculating cfr radically differently.
The only comparable measure to flu cfr is patients presenting with symptoms in a clinical setting who receive a positive test, because that is what is being measured with influenza fatality rate.
You are clearly operating at room temperature IQ.
Just go do something else for the rest of the week, and let adults discuss instead.
