We've heard this before from Voat about shutting down, but if it really does this time, there may well be a huge refugee surge here. There is always a worry about changing the culture with too many newcomers. Lots of negative myths about Poal there on Voat. They seem to think that this isn't a free speech site.

On Voat, I never downvoated because it was abused (disagree button). That may well be the most difficult part of assimilation for refugee goats. Be easy on them, they'll be adjusting. Many of them are good people.

Brevity is the wit of soul. Besides, if you’re spending your whole day spamming either an international goat enthusiast forum or a mongolian throatsinging collective’s internet meeting place, you’ve probably not got a whole lot going for you, and thus not much worth listening to.
