We've heard this before from Voat about shutting down, but if it really does this time, there may well be a huge refugee surge here. There is always a worry about changing the culture with too many newcomers. Lots of negative myths about Poal there on Voat. They seem to think that this isn't a free speech site.

On Voat, I never downvoated because it was abused (disagree button). That may well be the most difficult part of assimilation for refugee goats. Be easy on them, they'll be adjusting. Many of them are good people.

One nice thing about Poal is your votes are reflected "live" on the page so you don't have to wonder if they've been accepted by the server.
Also hitting the back button doesn't crash the site, so you can hop back to the main page easily.
We also have MiniChat, where Pauline attempt to tell jokes but never seems to get to the punchline.

Ah the "Other Services by Poal.co" listed on the sidebar. Ok I would have missed that without the mention. Will have to check out sometime I'm not so distracted. Thanks for the info.

Me either, could be all the precautions I take with my connection. Thats a shame.
