We've heard this before from Voat about shutting down, but if it really does this time, there may well be a huge refugee surge here. There is always a worry about changing the culture with too many newcomers. Lots of negative myths about Poal there on Voat. They seem to think that this isn't a free speech site.

On Voat, I never downvoated because it was abused (disagree button). That may well be the most difficult part of assimilation for refugee goats. Be easy on them, they'll be adjusting. Many of them are good people.

Like go to the . Look at the figures of Covid: ~17,800,000 cases and only ~320,000 deaths. Deaths = 2% of cases. But shut up and take your medicine, serf.

Yeah. When Voat shut down to the public 1.5 years ago, I could only lurk here. Poal was great, but just not as info dense (because of far fewer people). With this influx of refugees, that will probably change.
