We've heard this before from Voat about shutting down, but if it really does this time, there may well be a huge refugee surge here. There is always a worry about changing the culture with too many newcomers. Lots of negative myths about Poal there on Voat. They seem to think that this isn't a free speech site.

On Voat, I never downvoated because it was abused (disagree button). That may well be the most difficult part of assimilation for refugee goats. Be easy on them, they'll be adjusting. Many of them are good people.

Makes sense what about a poll button to the side of the down vote agree disagree and neutral... do not show the results unless you want to see them.. this way it is easy for a poster to see holy shit every one thinks I'm a retard... so upvote for good comment then a poll agree disagree neutral?

Shit actually makes sense your name is poal for fuck sake. This should be a think I am new so I might not be able to suggest it but the synchronicity with name and all makes way to much sense

Yeah I'd like some kind of model like that: upvote/downvote based on weather the comment fits well in the conversation and agree/disagree. Its possible for the future. Poal continues to add functionality.

Ok just an idea. I am starting to like the downvote button not being used as a weapon already seem to be better replies that are more thought out. I think the poll on the side that is hidden unless clicked on would work and help op and others and just good data.
