Hey let's two or three of us shoot down to Mexico and declare it as ours. There's some beautiful places in Mexico, imagine how nice it would be without Mexicans! We'll start a story that the three of us built Mexico and it really belongs to us. We'll spread that story amongst the women of Mexico. They'll feel sorry for us and give us stuff and turn against their husbands. (They still have those in Mexico).
