If you remember when Obama was elected, the same celebrations happened. There were people that quite literally thought that he was going to personally give them money and stuff ... for some reason. I never could figure that out.
I think that with Biden running on a platform of moar gibsmedats, some think that they're going to get more money and stimulus checks and whatnot. They don't understand that we're already hanging on by a thread and the system will collapse if that keeps up.
I voted for Obama. I really thought he was going to end the wars and Guantanamo Bay and repeal the Patriot. I was pretty retarded when I was younger.
There was no choice that election, or 2012. I voted 3rd party both times.
Considering Mitt "Mittens of the Magic Underwear" Romney was the other big-name choice, I don't blame you.
Keep up the good fight, brother. I always vote 3rd party.
I thought he would end the wars as well back then. At least I didn't expect he would fill his cabinet with literal bankers and start NEW wars.
He gave the appearance of wanting to do that, but he just turned out to be a shuck n jive. You have to vote on the way the candidates present themselves. I personally thought Sanders had some good ideas about fixing things, but he also turned out to be a cuck.
I was fooled also. Even by using liberal benchmarks, Obama was a complete failure; his only liberal achievement was getting black men elected to be Pres and First Lady. Yes, there was O care, but single payer was immediately forgotten. O killed the Kyoto accord, started wars, restored slavery to Tripoli, used the intelligence agencies and IRS against political opponent, etc. If el3cted, Hillarty would've put up a no fly zone over Syria whicb could've easily started WW III (ironic given environment and healtb care are ljberal values). Any true liberal would support anyone ovee someone from the Obama administration.
^ This guy paid attention.
Many of us were. I didn't buy all the hype, but I remember being relieved that bush was out and thinking "gosh, at least he can't possibly be as bad as bush".
I remember when Obama was elected and everyone and his dog said how every problem would be solved. And Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen giving performances for Obama and politicians everywhere saying how wonderful it was and so on.
I understand that some people might have been had back then, but I can't understand how other people still think highly of Obama now after all these years of his miserable performance.
Some people will support their boy through thick and thin, even if he is stabbing them while saying he's not.
