The arts lobby is actually pretty powerful, there is a legion of glorified welfare bums depending on leeching taxpayer money "in support of the arts". They have even codified in law that new government developments have to have a specified percentage of the budget allocated for "art". As soon as you run for a political position they will show up and start sucking your dick. This is because nobody actually visits art galleries and those who do would never pay the actual costs to maintain one, yet somehow it's the responsibility of the taxpayer to fund their hobby.
