Make sure you never try to catch anything heavy that might be slipping or falling. Also watch out for the other assholes dropping pipe from a floor above.

At 18, I went and worked at Avondale Shipyard. Welders and construction workers way up high inside the hull let all sorts a shit fall down to where we minimum wage slaves were cleaning it up. I wisely got the hell out after the first week. Terrible and dangerous work.
