I spent a long time working jobs for about 5 years at a go then landed as a courier. I was layed off due to a failed contact negotiation. That resulted in my working at a steel processing plant for two years. It wasn't hard work, but it was harder work than I had done to that point. I'm glad to not be doing it now, but I never backed down from the challenge. Push yourself. You'll be amazed at what you learn. Good luck.
