I'd like to think there's a cream-of-the-crop that might be worth saving. Spoiler alert: we're probably not thinking of the same people. Spoiler-spoiler alert: that group may not even include myself.
I think the machines we create will inevitably no longer need us and probably decide (rightfully so) to remove us for being parasites destroying the planet.
See, I don't think that will be the case. I think as we build said machines— we'll become said machines: self-improvement— the definition of evolution. We'll replace our lower-selves, over time, with a much more evolved version. But it won't be an eradication: it'll be a transformation.
