Mate, every religion copies each other. All the way back to the Egyptians and the birth of Horus? And even they probably copied that from somewhere else. There were many people claiming to be prophets, about 20 or so going by the name of Jesus, and even one bloke who walked on water, did the water into wine thing, healed people, was crucified in the same way... but not called Jesus. There's even speculation that modern Christianity was actually heavily influenced by Buddhism. That's not important. What's important is that Christmas is a big "fuck you" from the western [capitalist] world to every other shit hole out there. The west is so rich that we can have a festival or holiday, with actual presents, ever single fucking year. Other places JUST get food, or cash - which just ends up being given to someone else anyway - but we get all the fucking bells and whistles, and fucking toys! Sure, "Christmas" has been around for a fair while, but modern Christmas - as we see it now - is completely different, and all to do with general prosperity.
