That one isn't too bad actually maybe an hour labor for a good mechanic on most trucks. if its the seal, worst case its a 20$ seal. Sorry I can't help you out more I wish I could.

I appreciate the input. I know the ballpark for worst-case, and I'm prepared for it. Any news in the other direction makes it better.

It sounds like its a relatively new truck so unless you have been regularly towing heavy stuff odds are it won't be too big a deal unless you don't have a good mechanic, dealers can sometimes make it rough too.
