While watching videos in Dailymotion on my mobile phone, I get two non-skippable 20-second advertisements per ~5 minutes!

After the advertisements finished, the video starts over, so I have to seek the last playback spot again! A bug, apparently.

Very intrusive.

Of course, some advertisements are funny or could present a useful product. But often, Dailymotion showed me the same advertisement >10 times.

Websites harass users with intrusive advertisements and then whine when people use ad blockers. Don't be surprised.

If it were non-intrusive (1× 15sec per 10 minutes, resume playback at last position, as intended), it would be perfectly acceptable. But not how it is now.

Just had to get this off my mind.

Which phone browser are you using?
I use Firefox mobile, and I've got uBlock Origin on it. It's rare that I see ads on videos.

I've been using the Brave browser for a year. I like it, It's fast, blocks ads & trackers and seems to be easy on battery consumption.

I use Chrome and S Browser, because Firefox Mobile really likes to crash and has a buggy URL bar that changes to the previous URL or search term as soon as tapped, which is annoying.

Firefox Mobile also tends to slow down with too many tabs open, even on good devices.

Also, Chrome Mobile allows Javascript bookmarklets and saving pages as MHTML.

S Browser is limited to 50 tabs, but very fast and functional. It is also based on Chrome.

Also, YouTube ads are still acceptable. But those on Dailymotion are not.

But I use Firefox and occasionally Waterfox on Desktop.

You're having a far different experience with firefox mobile than I have.
It hasn't been crash-prone on my phone, nor does the URL bar act stupid.
Wish I could give you a decent reason why.

Good for you.

Maybe they have changed something with an update.
