I'm actually pretty impressed with the points made in this meme. My biggest issue with the truck is that it looks so weird it will stand out amongst other civilian vehicles.

Elon is a fucking shithead

Perfect front end for ramming through crowds of zombies

Can bust out your 80’s wardrobe again

The integrated tailgate ramp is perfect for deploying tactical claymore roombas and technical assault segueways

bicycle to charge

Lmfao you'd be there for a month trying to charge it.

Diesel solves the problem of supply lines considering you can use pretty much any heating oil in one to run it.

EMP proof? If not, then no.

Yeah , but if the collapse is non-nuclear then EMP will not be an issue.

Not quite perfect, but only in the same way as a Toyota Hilux/Tundra.

Best bugout vehicle is the boat, and this one is a great model https://www.boat-specs.com/beneteau/evasion-32 32 feet long

I know, it requires skills to handle and maintain, I know it costs money to park and you don't park that anywhere

But you know what?

While everybody takes the road you take the sea

Big difference

While everybody is stuck on ground you're at large, no pun intended

https://www.boat-specs.com/img/boat/616/beneteau-evasion-32-ext-2.jpg

Now that particular model is hard to come by, they don't build it anymore

And buying a second hand boat is tricky... There are technical stuffs/flaws you need to be aware of before buying it, you need an educated eye basically

But still

A second hand boat is quite cheap

The boat is the last vehicle normies are going to think about when all hell breaks loose, they'll all rush in their cars and get stuck into traffick, for 90% of them

Get out of my head...

The Navy has coastal patrol boats (https://magaimg.net/img/9rma.jpg) or something similar that would be perfect for me and my family. There was one at a marina I pass to and from work. I don't know how much fuel it holds, or uses; but the platform seemed the most versatile. It may not have even been a Naval vessel, just painted to look like one for all I know, but it would have made a perfect bug out vehicle for where I am located as there's very few egress routes that will be clogged with millions of people trying to escape from the LA Basin.

In the nautic world you have the "all motor" guys and the "all sails" guys

Sails require more skills, but you aren't going to cross an ocean with motor only... Unless you're "driving" a super tanker

Ponder that, you aren't a state who can provide fuel to infinity

On the flip side when you face unexpected bad weather and are still not that far off the coast and you still have time to go back home... You want a good motor

Yea, I wouldn't be going that far out to sea. Just over the horizon. Too risky, from my perspective, to be any farther from land in a bug out situation.

Mid 2000s diesel truck with 4x4 lift, fuel tank in bed. and 35' mud tires.

It's ugly as sin but is a perfect Apartheid vehicle

Elon is from South Africa, so it makes sense

I would be worried about all the electronics bricking the vehicle. Elon should make a version that's almost mechanical in it's simplicity just using batteries and electric motors instead of gasoline.

Use simple and replaceable vacuum tubes and pilot dials/speed pedal to regulate the power supply.

I suppose modding the car into that might be doable now that I think about it.

Build your own!

[–] 1 pt

Focusing on building instead so I won't have to run at all.

[–] 1 pt

No, I'd rather have a sea worthy vessel. That has more to do with my location and looking at maps trying to figure out an egress route and realizing they'll all be clogged.
