If something bad happens this city will burn within 48 hours, all cities within a week. There will be a mass exodus into the suburbs and surrounding areas. Without having a hardened target with large security force staying in place will not be an option for long if you are even remotely close to a city.

As it stands my plan is to grab my go bag at the first sign of trouble and get out before panic sets in. I won't even bother trying to drive, I will go on foot. I will follow the train tracks from my city up to the mountains, this will keep me off roads and largely away from people. I will only move at night until I get out of population centers which I can do in 48 hours. I will be out of the city in 20 minutes of leaving. I will try to find an unoccupied secluded cabin or dwelling up in the mountains. There are a lot of such places and chances are the owners will never make it to them, if they arrived I would leave if they asked me to do so. There is a ski resort way up on the mountain with a large cabin at the very top, it would be very difficult to get to for most people. This is one place I have in mind.

This is just a starting plan to get me to a safe place away from immediate danger. I think the ultimate goal would be to join a group.

I have 4 tough as fuck dogs. My property is fenced in and easy to secure. I have 30k rds of ammo. Millions of Calories. I will have the wife in the attic on overwatch with a .270 bolt gun and AR with cases of ammo to man the corner of our two streets and radio anything she sees. Nothing is going to want to fuck with my house when they fuck around. I have a sick DMR, an AK a combat shotgun, pistols, ARs and training. I am ready to fucking war. I have tons of bottled water. The 2nd floor of my house is insurmountable unless you want to go zerg and waste a lot of life getting through my drum mags. 4 dogs and my AK are not a fun welcome through my front door. This assumes loss of power. If power is on I have 4 cameras as well as tons of lighting. All the niggers around me are already scared shitless of me. They’re not scared of me calling the police. They’re scared that the police won’t save them from me. I doubt anyone seriously will fuck with my house. And when they fuck around they will likely not be as ready as me. I have guns hidden all over and will always have two guns on me at all times in the house. I even have toilet gats. My best guard dog is Husky pitbull and will fucking kill niggers without hesitation.My hunting dogs have it in them too. I also have a crossbow and bow if I need to be quiet. Not having a Plan B makes you make Plan A work no matter what. Stay well regulated mofos.

What to do if a group men at each corner of your house attack you with Molotov cocktails to burn you out? How about 20 men? Power will 100% be out and not coming back on. A house will be impossible to defend with two people and some dogs. Dogs are very easy to kill and a horde of starving / bad people cannot be stopped without a small army. You will only be able to hold out for a very short period of time in a sever collapse, as in society is permanently gone. This is the type of situation I am referring to. Not trying to frighten you but you need to be prepared for a harsh reality. You will need an escape and evade plan in place.

If you read the survival literature short term leaving can be better in the early chaos which is the worst of it. But long term you are fucked and have zero advantages left. Long term the people who made it past the first 30 days become the threat and have major advantages. Usually their only problem is needing to leave for something and exposing themselves. When you do need to finally leave you are physically way better off than had you left in the beginning. But will be threatened way more by what you describe than if you still had a position to hold.

They have to get close enough to my house to hit it. They won’t. Only two sides are even approachable by layout and the two exposed sides are covered by my neighbors who are also heavily armed and not leaving. The perimeter will extend far off my property. Guy across the street and two people on either side of me are well-supplied and tactical. We are all on the same page. 20 people ain’t gonna make it inside or live long enough. The layout is 100% against them and there are too many guns. They have no cover, no concealment, and can be seen long before they can hit the house. We won’t let people use the road anywhere near us in the first place. Mofos will have to go around. The most vulnerable direction for me is uphill and wide wide open with other houses. Weak desperate people have many better choices. Strong people have weaker prey. People trying to live another day don’t fuck around. Dogs are easy to kill IF they get inside. And having to fight my dogs makes them easier for me to kill. Won’t happen anyways. If you saw my position you’d get it. The longer it goes on the weaker the threats get. 30 days in people who have slept like shit with little food and need medical who aren’t trained in the first place will be very weak. 30 days out I will be one of them.

It’s way more dangerous to leave in my situation. Completely open and exposed with all the chaos and other mofos preying on those people. With nowhere to go. Already have everything I need here with barriers and obstacles and advantages. After a few weeks my position gets even better with less people around even if more of them are threats. Keep in mind people who are threats will know the ‘burbs will be softer targets with great payoff.

Not to mention burning the house in theory defeats the point of getting my supplies. The main reason to attack me. Not that they will pull it off. I live on a big property.
