Grandfathers have a role in raising their grandchildren. That time is not 'excess life' and is not the end of your duties and purpose as a man. It is the old men who keep the history alive and pass it down to their heirs lest we forget and erase where we came from. This is just as important a male role as having children is. A man's life is far more complex than simply reproducing.
