This thread is about CRT's (cathode ray tubes), and is for those of us sick and tired of hearing about that other CRT

I'll start out with a listing of some topics about the dangers of fucking with CRT's: - High-voltage/low-current CRT anode (the obvious one) - Medium-voltage/high-current B+ voltage - Live chassis - Tube implosion - Hernias (from lifting the damn things)

Right. And it ain't just the CRT's high voltage anode you need to worry about. Too many folks on jewtube discharge the CRT anode and never say a word about the power supply capacitors, specifically the B+ filter cap. That sucker can pack a punch. If I'm ever going to pull the board out of the TV set, I discharge that thing through a high-wattage low-ohm resistor.
