Not really, it's part of transportation infrastructure, which the DOT monitors. The sad part is people fuck off around trains so much there's data to keep. A train is one of the easiest hazards to avoid, just stay off tracks and equipment - it's not like the stuff can chase you down.

That’s fair. I remember a couple massive derailments in CA. This one was crazy.

That derail was a mess. >100MPH on a 40MPH curve with a bad loco and underestimated freight weight.

I was repeatedly warned about train tracks starting around five years old especially warned about train bridges since one was nearby. We did cross it but listened to the tracks to make sure there was no train near.
