In 1999 I got rid of my TV set and they all called me mad. Ten years later everyone else got rid of their sets.

Today, I am switching off the internet. No more of this madness. I'm going back to a rotary dial phone and physical letters - ink on paper, postage stamps and envelopes. Ten years from now you will have followed me.

Goodbye internet. It was good while it lasted.

Are you getting analog phone line or voip?

I wouldn't trust voip because it needs the internet to stay up, and also can be used to listen 24/7.

I don't know if the old analog lines are even serviceable anymore, but that constant 12v power requirement is kinda nice.
