Yes, but not organically. We are being pushed and pulled toward the abyss. While people are relinquishing their cognitive capacities of reasoning and critical thought in pursuit of comfort and pleasure, they are being enticed by promises of commendations for abandoning said capacities and are admonished to continue forward at the threat of ostracization. Notice that those that have maintained their ability to question the narrative are labelled such things that would make society view them with the upmost abhorrence.
