I have no idea how they convinced anyone that this is a viable program. All of the "tiny home" projects I have seen have the same footprint as a suburban home, except they are a small shed on a large square of concrete. It's the kind of thing you'd get fines for if you tried to keep your pets in that condition.

It's well known that cheaply managed local trailer parks are being bought up by corps, prices greatly increased. Maybe they're trying to convince desperate gullible people that "this is good".

In reality "this is good" is a very bad path. A trailer home is significantly cheaper than a tiny home, and offers a faster path to traditional living than a 80-100K tiny home on the same property. Maybe the popular media/politicians don't want to admit that they've created a world where their children have to rely on trailer homes.
