Heard Gov Younkin memtion getting rid of the antiquated "car tax" on local news. Im assuming he means the personal property tax thing. Ive only lived here 5 years. I hate paying tax on vehicles I bought (and paid tax on) in different states. All get high mileage discount, but still sucks. If the car tax goes away, how much will property tax increase to cover the difference? Maybe gas tax or food tax increases too...Are we better off keeping the car tax for lower property taxes?

I've moved a lot, over many states. I have paid sales tax on my car so many times it's sick. Georgia was the worst. They made me pay new value on it. WTF. I had to borrow money from my mom until I got my paycheck. She couldn't believe it. I believe they have since lowered it, but holy crap!!!

Oh and I was only living with my mom there temporarily. I moved 10 months later. It was crazy.
