TL;DW: You won't get a ticket for driving around bicyclists hogging the road but it only works at low traffic levels.

Unspoken: Your government is spending money to codify things you would do anyway if they hadn't been so pedantic to paint a double yellow down the middle of the road. And probably getting Federal "Enviro-Bucks" to do it.

Then the bikes would be going head-on and they'd have to move over. Far easier for big cars to do that. /s

Yes, just like two women meeting at a door at the same time. They just expect the door to magically open, but that's not a guy on the other side, so they both run into the door instead.

This design completely misses the mark. Why have a bike lane that cars have to dive into all of the time? This seems like an exercise in government waste.

That makes sense in a way. Though, like you said.. There was little if any information passed on to the community.

I once lived in a place where they said they were going to add a roundabout. The person proposing it received death threats for it. Yeah, its stupid and insane but some people refuse to have change no matter what.

I still think that idea looks kind of moronic with the dual bike lanes that were not asked for. It would be far better suited for a single lane road/street.

Shit like this is why I say that we will never have "flying cars" unless they are fully autonomous. People are really fucking stupid and drive like shit all of the god damn time. If they cannot figure out this, how can they figure out how to deal with things when you are in 3d.

Wtf is wrong with making the sidewalk 2 feet wider and have the bikes share the sidewalk with pedestrians?
