LOL. The slavs originated from modern day Ukraine. They are genetically distinct from Northern Europeans. Slavs did not generate any major cultural or scientific advancements like Europeans did.

Contact lenses were first described by Leonardo da Vinci, and the first actual pair were made by British Thomas Young in 1801. The first "modern" contact lens as we know it was made by German Adolf Gaston Eugen Fick.

But even if all of these inventions were solidly "Slavic" inventions, there was still no scientific achievements that came out of Eastern Europe or Russia that did anything to revolutionize the world until the influence of the West had reached them.

The four basic blood groups were first defined by Jan Jánský, Czech serologist, psychiatrist and neurologist. He classified the blood groups as I, II, III and IV in his study Hematological study of psychotics in 1907 but it wasn’t until 1921 when an American medical commission acknowledged Janský’s classification that his discovery received proper attention from the professional community.
