I think the way forward is to see that the disgust is based on flawed ideas about degenerate people, and a false obligation to give them consideration. I think you have to come to a vision that you consider it your obligation to make manifest, and to treat degenerates as natural obstacles like any other, say some large rocks in the way that you need to move one way or another. It doesn't make sense to sacrifice the immense possibility to avoid upsetting the natives.
Sounds kind of like the jews. I guess you just need the luck to not lack empathy, and not see yourself as a special race merely due to identity.

It's a fine line. You need people who share the vision, to help carry it out and lend support. But if you're deluded, then you become another person imposing their limited view on the world. What is absolutely clear is that you can't seek permission from others or else the worst will exploit that to deny you. Seeking consensus is a form of altruism, which is only suited for people of your own kind who share your values. There it works to get the best ideas to the top, and build strong support. Within diversity it again just lets the worst elements dominate.
