That's not what you said. You just said "with heat" ... how much heat is rather important. :) See how the details matter?
But - bigger picture:
Let's assume the room is 75F. A highly thermally reflective box with a fixed heat source (an RF amplifier) and no cooling or heat transfer ... Very easy to be well above 90F.
Those poor seeds were toasted.
And how hot would the modem get when they are in stand-by mode? Since it's in a cage.
Seeds will still germinate in high heat, But the plant would go straight into making seeds.
75-90f is just the optimal range to start them.
Both modems are on. One just has the wi-fi turned off.
