Safety has become an obsession not only in politics but in the workplace and economy as well. I'll admit it sounds appealing compared to extreme opposite, but the reality is humans always need to be accustomed to danger to some extent. Taking steps outside your comfort zone and flirting with danger is sometimes necessary to grow and build confidence. Humans cannot continue to evolve if there isn't an urge to overcome danger.
