There is NO law which legislates that you must wear a mask on a plane. TSA and the CDC are unelected organizations that do not supplant the law. HIPAA, ADA, the CONSTITUTION, these are the laws of the land. That woman was in the right and those passengers and air waitress are behaving like asses.

There is a law that grants the TSA authority to issue a regulation requiring you to wear a mask on a plane. Right or wrong, Congress' power to delegate regulatory authority to bureaucrats has been repeatedly affirmed by the courts.

I don't like it, but this is probably correct.

We don't really have laws that represent the people anymore though.

No, there’s not. Show me.

Well, not really, the aircraft is considered private property as such, the owner can make rules/codes to fit their particular situation,in this case the carrier has decided(wisely,I might add)to comply w/the FAA request to mandate the ridiculous mask policy or face the wrath of the FAA/FCC/ACLU.You see, the carrier really has no choice but to comply, they are being "hamstrung"just as "We The People".

How private are companies that take billions in taxpayer governmental subsidies? Additionally, you are missing the hypocracy in your own post where you first say the carrier has wisely decided to comply with the FAA’s ridiculous mask mandate or face its own wrath (the FAA’s), waaaaat? Maybe you deserve that thing next to your username.

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) does not have the authority to require most airline passengers to wear face masks during flights. “...the FAA may lack the authority to require masks in flight. “The FAA, as an aviation safety regulator, does not possess general public health expertise or police powers.” The airlines themselves are enforcing the masks, so back to square one.

Well, I'm going to go march my ass right into a GM plant since they're public property. I might stop by Raytheon while I'm at it.

You do realize that any aircraft in the US that flies without the permission of the FAA gets shot down, right? So every airliner MUST comply with FAA regulations. Which means no smoking in the bathrooms and masks on everyone, those aren’t choices that the owner of the airplane can make
