He was not shot down because he killed himself, idiot. I can promise you that if, instead of crashing, he flew towards San Francisco, he would have eventually been shot down

Also:

After the aircraft took off, two F-15 fighter jets were deployed.

If he had wanted to land, they would have helped Him do so. You are now moving the goal post. The guy took off from a faa regulated airport, he flew in FAA regulated airspace, he disobeyed all sorts of orders and faa regulations, all sorts of orders, and he was not shot down like you suggested. He was intercepted and allowed to fly for several minutes performing aerobatics in violation of faa rules and was not shot down. All in controlled airspace.

Absolutely not. You are creating a false equivalency. You are comparing flying a commercial flight from one place to another while ignoring FAA demands not to, to a guy stealing a prop plane (which HAD fighter jets in tow) and crashing a few miles away.

As I said, if he had flown towards any place other than THE LITERAL OCEAN, you know as well as I do that he would have been shot down.

You’re being intellectually dishonest and at this point it’s just annoying more than anything

Again, he would not have been shot down for breaking the rules or flying without permission. The only way he'd have been shot down is if he posed "(quote) AN IMMINENT THREAT OF SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH" It's the exact same standard for cops, or even you and I.

They intercepted him, but unless he made maneuvers to threaten imminent serious injury or death, he would not be shot down.
