In a way, he's right - you can definitely subtly influence some of the people - that was proven in the 50s when they would flash messages on the movie screen that were not observable by the conscious mind but the subconscious mind would pick them up and then many people would act on the message - for example - buy a coke. This practice was banned because it was so powerful. Of course, we suspect they still do this - that's why no matter what you tell TV watchers about the dangers of the experimental shot, you can rarely break their programming and most of them end up getting the jab.

However, to equate that with not having a soul or free will is ludicrous.

And once any sort of objective morality has been jettisoned by the oligarchy, as it was really starting in the 18th century with Liberalism (E Michael Jones' Libido Dominandi is a great reference for this... as well as a great doorstop or projectile weapon), people become far more easily controlled through their passions and vices. Technology might make this easier by putting pr0n in your hands 24/7, but the ultimate problem is lack of virtue and morality.

I start with the premise that at some point, with technological "progress" and the trillions invested in the surveillance state, people will no longer have the privacy of their own mind, because of some technology

"When" will that happen? I can't tell, I'm not a "psychic". But I certainly wouldn't bet the house on "will never happen", pretty sure it's going to be a thing, because that's ultimately what "you" want, from a control freak standpoint, and again the will and the capital required for it to become a reality isn't what's lacking

It's a toss up. I think we are on the verge of getting a bunch of tech that will end up breaking the trend for everything to centralize. Don't need massive conglomerates making consumer goods when 3d printing tech gets a little better and you can print most of them. Theres still some challenges here but i think potentially these machines will be able to print and assemble the electronic parts of items as well. Distributed mesh networks will become more prevalent with better wireless tech like 5g. You wont be tied into a backbone that's easy to collect everything or firewall wrong thinkers at as you will end up getting to any destination through an arbitrary path of network connections made through other clients. I think its far more likely everything collapses before they can establish a technocratic dystopia or any of these systems become widely available.

I get what you mean and I agree that ultimately they'll likely fail miserably in their attempt at taking over the world essentially, and that as a result, a huge chunk of society/civilization will be lost, will all or in part collapse in the process. And we'll get the bill handed to us, as usual since thousands of years, don't count on them to own their mistakes. Same shit different day.

But I think you're underestimating the "environment" here, when you state:

>3d printing tech gets a little better and you can print most of them. Theres still some challenges here but i think potentially these machines will be able to print and assemble the electronic parts of items as well. Distributed mesh networks will become more prevalent with better wireless tech like 5g.

You're thinking/visualizing things from a "free and open" society standpoint

Now rethink the above, not from a US citizen POV, but from the POV of a saudi citizen for instance... "They" control the supply lines, "they" control the legal boundaries

It's not like we're living in a libertarian social order, to put it simply

Is there footage of this?
