Yeah.. Ask Boeing how their auto pilot worked recently. Auto pilot systems are more and more capable, but computer have glitches and bugs. Its easy to forget how dangerous Aviation is with the computer systems assisting, but if a plane loses power all you have left is stick and rudder. If the plane is fly by wire, and it loses power.. you are fucked.
