who would've thought you could barter lipstick?
Anyone who's watched a WW2 movie. They always bartered with panty hose, lipstick, cigarettes and chocolate. Gold is also a luxury item, which is why it's currency.
I knew about the chocolate and cigarettes and booze.
Makeup, coffee, toilet paper, tooth paste, spices, cleaning supplies, sugar/candy/honey, music supplies(guitar strings), DVDs, books, these are the things that become currency rather than bandaids, bullets and beans, because why would you ever part with something you need?
Yep, I've got many cans of Mountain House but it's now about ten years old.
