See, Goyim, you need governments to step in and force them to sell it at a reasonable price!

[–] 1 pt

nah, a lot of sawmill owners are jewish...we need jews out of our country, that's it.

Do you have a source for this?

I don’t doubt you

Bullshit. This is the conversation so far:

them: Lumber companies are stockpiling lumber to keep the prices up

you: So what you're saying is that we need price controls.

We do need regulation, but no one here is arguing for price controls. Existing anti-monopoly regulation needs to be enforced. This market bears a strong resemblance to the 20s, and the reason is the same as it was then: lack of enforced laws breaking up monopolies. The solution then was to make the laws. The solution now is to start enforcing them again.

People don't realize how bad lumber prices are going to end up fucking us up. Gas prices are easy to notice because it's an immediate check to the pocket book.

My advice is to buy a house, now. In the next five years, you're not going to want to. If you have even a decent place already, hold on to it as much as you can.

I don't know how generally familiar everyone is with the housing boom in Ireland maybe 10-20 years ago and what a debacle that was, but it's going to be 10x worse here. .

Might be unintentionally based, this should hold back some shitlibs from moving out of their shit states.

SOCIALIST PROPAGANDA.

People here need to read a basic book on economics.

The most famous is the book titled "BASIC ECONOMICS"

In capitalism, all prices adjust so every price eventually is the proper fair price.

negative, stupid fucks like you think everything you read in a book is how the world works lmfao

I work at a sawmill, this is 100% true and jew scum like you needs to fuck off and die

I can tell you have neither good collegiate education, nor ever have read a book on Basic Economics.

You should move to a place lacking capitalism , a socialist paradise like VENEZUELA ,CUBA or NORTH KOREA!

You have no idea how foolish you appear to others here that either a good collegiate education, or ever read a book om Basic Economics.

Capitalist countries are invaded by people fleeing socialist countries for a reason.... capitalism works.

capitalism works !

people like you are stupid

you think because people are knowingly manipulating the supply and demand chain that somehow is a "natural thing"

no you idiot...logging hasn't slowed down at all, and sawmills are normally "socially distanced" a fair bit because of the size of the pieces you are dealing with. There is no reason for sawmills to be shut down, the one I work at is running at 25% capacity and yet we have over 300% of our normal holding stock on site.

The manipulation is obvious, use covid to justify the "slowed output" hoard material, create artificial short supply, prices rise in response, covid narrative isn't ending anytime soon so prices will stay high regardless of when sawmills go back to 100% output, because they are illegally hoarding items

My own boss turns down orders...when we have tons of material they are looking to buy stashed away, he only sells enough to equal the output of running at 25%, his profit margins are much higher right now and because wood is something that can be stored long term he isn't out any money by hoarding material and waiting for the price to keep going up

Market manipulation is not "free market" sir, give your head a shake.

It sure does. Let us know when you find somewhere with capitalism and we'll take a look.

good collegiate education

The first economics class, microeconomics, is useful information, if a bit idealistic/naive.

The second class, and all subsequent classes, are based on macroeconomics. That is to say, they push the jewish view of the world: inflation=good.

If you trust your "good collegiate education" to not be riddled with lies, you are an idiot.
