ok yes but the person breathes haevyer and deeper so they obtain the same amount of oxygen they just need to breathe harder to achieve it. and then what is left is higher amounts of co2 within their breathing-air.

they still get the oxygen after working for it but it doesn't reduce the co2 to non-mask levels.

That's the thing. You're making an assumption which doesn't normally hold true. Which is why I'm curious to see pulseox data.

From street tests I've seen elevated co2 rebreathing. The combination makes for a practical and traditional expectation, as I explained. But confirmation would be nice.
