Years ago I saw a documentary. Scientists proved, with satellite imagery, That Yellowstone blows every 600,000 years. They showed with great accuracy the large "dip" (hole?), miles upon miles wide in the ground where it happened again and again every 600k years as the tectonic plates shifted underneath. Last time Yellowstone blew??? 650,000 years ago. We are 50,000 years overdue.

From what I remember there are 7 caldera's worldwide, 6 under the oceans, 1 at yellowstone. When yellowstone blows, it will be nuclear winter for 2 solid years.

I listened to a book on this topic, and its not overdue its within range which includes being overdue.

Lots of past accidents , minor earthquakes, killed people there in recent centuries. It is thought a few major earthquakes will precede the regions large dome collapsing.

2 years of nuclear winter is not as bad as the thich ash on usa soil and freshwater

yellowstone ash covered all of washington state once, so it can travel far.

Volcanic ash is actually pretty good to grow things on after the winter is over. It's less good for buildings and people buried beneath it.

Christ, I was born and raised in WY ~ this "Yellowstone's gonna blow" crap is just a fear-mongering piece to fill in an otherwise slow time. Happens all the fucking time. And you know what, who fucking cares!??! You can't do a god damned thing about it, you can't run or hide from it, you can't stop it. All you can do is "worry" about it and be nancy assed faggots feeding into the fear mongering.

You REALLY worried about it, move to Cody, WY (or anywhere on the perimeter, Laurel, MT is still sorta affordable, and off on the Idaho side by West Yellowstone is way more isolated if you want elbow room) so that if/when it ever actually happens, you go quick and don't have to suffer like the rest of the planet.

It could be that it was a short winter - we had absolutely no summer where I live. Usually we get 45 degrees C for a week + at least 2 or 3 times, and high 30s for the rest of the season, didn't have a day over 38, and I can count the days over 30 on both hands... for THREE months. It was nuts. We already have winter weather. So I imagine if this shit is happening down under, the opposite could be happening up above. Trying to be logical... but hey, if yellowstone goes, so does most of the "woke" areas of the US.

Here at the 42nd north parallel, it does seem exactly how you describe. We usually get some nasty winters, snow up to the waist at times. Not this year, though. We had exactly one week of actual winter this year (where the temperature actually goes below 0F (-17C). It snowed twice (where snow actually accumulated), just a few inches 1st time and 6-9 inches second time. That's it. Now the weatherman says it's going to be 70F (room temp) next week, when it's usually only barely getting above freezing this time of year.
