Same here, I barely knew popular shit 15 years ago.
Having to explain that I only listen to a few classic radio stations and I do not watch much TV anymore. I even had other nerds saying I weird by our group standards.
It's all manufactured bullshit. I'm about ready to pay for SirusXM because my one year free trial ended and I can't stand regular radio.
Oddly enough because I've listened to a lot of modern/European Rock, Metal, & Folk bands I come across other stuff. So it blows some family member's minds that I know of these "cool underground bands" that are about to go mainstream.
