Great movie, definitely encapsulated Lovecraft's storytelling.
"Must be lonely, being the last one left"
Neill was a great pick, his performance in Event Horizon now seems to make more sense.
Nice, Picardo played that out great.
I enjoy stories that evoke the reader/viewer into the dreamlike state of discovery and wonder. The reactions of the protagonist facing such situations typically turn these stories into horrors. Now I disdain the copy paste horror take the chick to see a movie style fodder. But these Lovecraftian types of stories are sort of a niche genre unto themselves.
Sucks that the majority of new content has been hijacked to push sjw ideology to such an extreme. Black Mirrors/New Twilight Zone have such great potential but I stopped watching because of so many episodes twisting what may have been a good plot into some BLM bullshit.
