That’s crap, I’m talking about the Disney version, which is the vast majority of exposure. I’ve asked everyone in passing conversation this, and some read the Disney book, most saw the movie. All remember exactly the same if they were familiar with it. The common collective memory of the even differs from reality. Not on any other part, just that specific part. So people can remember every other detail collectively right, but spectacularly fail at this one word.
Reality is not so solid, and that scares some people deeply and they resist the idea.
