this makes too much damn sense. My grandfather had a 50 lb mallet he named "The Problem Solver" and carried it with him where ever he went and folded metal with it on his anvil. My father could briefly lift it in the prime of his life, but stuck with a 20 lb but did not carry it with him daily. He bought a power hammer to "keep up with dad and his problem solver." Damn thing broke within a decade of use. Meanwhile i work in an office and need help to move granfather's hammer if any leaves blow in around its place.

Grandfather had a bunch of brothers who all were between him and my dad for strength. Lost about half between both world wars, the rest to heart attacks/whisky. The thing that always bothered my dad when he was still around was why wasn't he just as strong as his dad? and why was i even softer than him?
