I had a wonderful vet when I lived in NV. I never brought up vaccination and she didn't either. After a cat had some major surgery and she was teaching me stuff, she said 'you seem open minded...' And proceeded to tell me vax stories. She said she never offers it and would only do it if the owner asked. She said so many, especially elderly cats (she was cats only) would get so sick from it. Some would die within days.
She said they are told to give the same dosage to a cat and a great dane. She said she will tell people with elderly pets to avoid vaccination, of possible. We were lucky in NV and there were no laws saying cats needed rabies vaccines.
I left a vet out here in AZ because he wanted to give my kitten some vaccine for kennel cough the same day as his neuter. I told him no and he said he wouldn't do the surgery. I was fine with that. His vet tech called back a few minutes later and said to bring him in for the neuter and they wouldn't require it just for him. I did it just because it was scheduled but he never got anymore business from me.
My current vet has never brought it up and I assume she doesn't see them as necessary, either. She was half the cost, too, and so much nicer and more thorough. She doesn't question me when I ask for blood work and answers my questions without trying to dumb it down or tell me I don't need to know.
My mom also had a kitten die within hours of having vaccines and the flea drops on the neck. I think the combo was too much for the little guy.

I asked for his records and I was given them and it says in bold letters he was never given any and that I refused. But yeah I did think of that.
