My vet in Reno sighed a huge sigh of relief when I asked her to note in my old lady cat's chart that she was never to receive vaccines. She and I talked a lot about it while we were rehydrating one of my other cats after a rough surgery. I told her about my vac injuries and that if they can't be trusted for humans there's no way I'm trusting them for my pets. She told me of cancers near the injection site, sudden death within days. She said she believes that a lot of the odd new diseases that are insanely prevalent in cats that seem to be autoimmune are caused by it. She said they give the same amount of vaccine to a 60 pound dog as to a 3 pound kitten and that it was wrong. I loved her but had to move.
My current vet has never brought up vaccines and neither have I. I really like that she's never once said a word about it so I don't worry about being pressured. My last vet was such a dick about it that he lost my business. Five cats going elsewhere has lost him a ton of money.
