That had to be difficult with no family left.
My deceased cousin's sister had it tough. She lost a son age 27 in 2006, her mom in 2010, her husband in 2013, her father in 2015, then her sister with colon cancer in 2023.
All my aunts and uncles are gone now. I have a few cousins remaining, most older than me and half are in other states, the other half hours away. I married and divorced with no children. Thank God I have a few surviving friends left in the area.
I did not expect my golden years to start out like this. Never once envisioned it being this way.
I check the obits about once a week to make sure I'm not listed ...
