well, as far as the quote goes, i wouldnt jump off a bridge as a general good rule of thumb. if i needed to chose between always or never jumping off a bridge, i would chose to never jump off any bridge. but as far as assessing situations go, i would need to know more information. i would heavily take into account who is telling me to do it, why, and do my own investigation. If I am told not to investigate and go off of trust alone I would do everything in my power i could to not jump.
